Debby Goldsberry

   Executive Director

Debby Goldsberry has more than 25 years as a leader in the medical and adult use marijuana industry. She co-founded the Berkeley Patients Group (BPG) medical cannabis collective in 1999, directing its growth over 11 years. Ms. Goldsberry developed and implemented standard operating procedures for procurement, product safety, patient relations, and business management and operations, which have been replicated by dispensaries around the nation. She has proven experience in non-profit business management, public and government relations, and product development and marketing.
 
As a community leader, Ms. Goldsberry is active in the campaign to reform the California state cannabis laws and to protect patient’s rights. She co-founded and directed Americans for Safe Access (ASA), Medical Cannabis Safety Council (MCSC), and Cannabis Action Network (CAN). She is a board member at California NORML, is a former board member of the Marijuana Policy Project, and teaches procurement and patient relations at Oaksterdam University. Ms. Goldsberry has been a staff writer at DOPE Magazine and High Times Medical Marijuana Magazine, and was a featured blogger at Smell the Truth.

 

Katie Rabinowitz

General Manager

Katie Rabinowitz was born in Pennsylvania and raised in Ohio. In 2013, she moved to the Bay Area to attend Oaksterdam University, where she completed the Classic and Horticulture semesters.  She began working as a receptionist and bud tender at Magnolia at age 19, while still an Oaksterdam student, and became the Assistant General Manager in 2016 and General Manager in 2017.

Katie coordinates Magnolia's social service programs, managing school supply drives, women's shelter collections, and prisoner letter-writing campaigns for the Marijuana Lifer Project. As Magnolia's outreach person, she is Co-Chair for the Neighborhood Crime Prevention Council. 

Katie is highly experienced in cannabis education and trains Magnolia staff.  She is also highly knowledgeable about strains, which allows her to help patients choose the right medicine all day long.
